LEGO Star Wars III is, technically, the 4th LEGO Star Wars game to be released, but it is a follow up to LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. LEGO Star Wars III focuses on the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Similar to the previous games, there is plenty of Lightsaber fighting, Space Dogfighting, and Force Building to be had. LEGO Star Wars III also added some Real-Time Strategy elements during several of the story missions.
Why #8? At the time of it’s released, LEGO Star Wars III add a nice polish to the formula that TT Games had built before it. As a hardcore Star Wars fan, who loved The Clone Wars series, LEGO Star Wars III was made for me. However, the characters and locations were not as appreciated due to some of the obscurity of the story, characters, and locations. The Strategy elements also hurt the game’s overall experience being overly tough for younger players. Even still, LEGO Star Wars III had fantastic air combat levels and a ton a content for Star Wars fans to get lost in.
- Proper Love to The Clone Wars Era of Star Wars
- Great Aerial Combat
- Unfamiliar Characters and Locations
- Real-Time Strategy was Hit or Miss
